PARADISE ISLAND RESORT AND CASINO COOPERATIVE CREDIT UNION ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE

After more than 20 years of providing its members in the resort industry with sound financial services, the Paradise Island Resort and Casino Cooperative Credit Union (PIRCCCU), one of the country?s leading credit unions is pleased to announce that it has officially changed its name to Bahama Islands Resorts and Casinos Cooperative Credit Union (BIRCCCU).

BIRCCCU?s Board of Directors wishes to announce to its valued members that the name change is a part of the planned expansion of the credit union, which was started over 20 years ago by a small group of casino workers wishing to create better financial opportunities for themselves. To date, we are pleased to announce that the credit union has grown to close to 3,000 members with assets totaling over $20 million. This accomplishment represents a significant milestone for Bahama Islands Resorts and Casinos Cooperative Credit Union (BIRCCCU) along with the entire credit union movement.

Over the last 20 years Bahama Islands Resorts and Casinos Cooperative Credit Union has played a pivotal role in the creation of new homes for of our members. In addition to providing financing for new business opportunities, financing of our member?s children?s education and so much more while staying true to our mission to ?Partner In The Financial Freedom Of Our Members? thereby ?Helping People To Help Themselves.?

Bahama Islands Resorts and Casinos Cooperative Credit Union was the first and only credit union to establish an Internet Teller to allow our members the ease and convenience to view their accounts and apply for loans in the privacy of their homes or at work.

As we expand we see a dire need to extend our financial services to all resort employees throughout the entire Bahamas. Our name change will play a critical role in allowing us to achieve our objective to assist all resort employees throughout the country including resort and hotel employees on the islands of Exuma and Grand Bahama.

At the moment the credit union?s members are comprised of resort employees based in New Providence. By changing the name of the credit union to Bahama Island Resorts and Casinos Cooperative Credit Union, we will do away with the perception that the credit union is solely for employees of Paradise Island along with resort employees in New Providence.

In celebration of our name change and planned expansion the credit union has planned a number of exciting events throughout the month of February.

? Among them is a Customer Appreciation Day on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at which time we invite all members of the credit union to visit our Village Road Office. At that time our Board of Directors, management team and employees will show them just how special they are by providing them with special care, treats and surprises.

? In addition the credit union will hold a special unveiling ceremony during the week of February 26th at its Village Road office. Plans for the unveiling will be announced later in the month. During the unveiling the credit union will honour three of its longest members as well as recognize the Queen?s College Credit Union which it has sponsored from the ground up. All members of the credit union are invited to attend this special ceremony.

? Also as a part of our name change and planned expansion BIRCCCU will launch a marketing campaign to inform its valued members and potential members. Radio advertisements will be broadcast on major radio stations and print ads will be published in leading newspapers.

? We also will be visiting a number of the major resorts in the country throughout this year in order to familiarize persons about the credit union adavantage.

We encourage all members to join in this month of celebration. More importantly we encourage members to start the year 2007 off right by taking a serious look at their savings and investment plans. Here at the Bahama Islands Resorts and Casinos Cooperative Credit Union we firmly believe that ?Your dream to financial freedom is attainable and the decisions that you make today as its pertains to saving and investing will determine the life you live tomorrow.?

We invite all our members and potential members wishing to receive advice on their personal finances to contact our office today at 393-7833.

We would like to say a special ?thank you? to members of the press for your support.
